Quiet and lazy Xmas day. Started with a visit to the fish souq to buy crayfish (they called it lobster), giant shrimps and hamoor, a local fish very like snapper.

Actually needed two trips to the souq as I forgot my wallet the first time.

Xmas day breakfast was a smoked salmon scrambled egg created by Manda. Absolutely delicious but meant that we could not do justice to the Xmas dinner fish feast even though it came much later in the day.

It was great to see people in NZ and England via skype but felt very odd not being with family for Xmas especially our ‘boys’.
