A long, long car journey back from Gallipoli yesterday made worse by a huge traffic jam from the outskirts of Istanbul.

Today while Sarah went back to work Sue and I re-acquainted ourselves with the area around their house.

These photos are from the walk past Rameli Fort along the coast to Bebek.

The next week or so we spent visiting the tourist sites in Istanbul sometimes with Steve, occasionally just Sue and I and sometimes with our ‘Tour Guide B’, Mike, a friend of Steve and Sarah’s who had cycled all the way to Istanbul from England and was now planning the next stage of his journey.
