The day after the dive trip we headed into the mountains. Spectacular scenery with roads that clung to the sides of the cliffs as they wound there way from one wadi to the next.
Our guide book described a walk to a view point. It was only supposed to be 40 minutes each way but with the temperature over 40 degrees we took a while longer. The photo above does not do the view justice. It is actually lots of photos stitched together. I have a good head for heights but I could not stand at the edge and look down. I was kneeling down and holding the camera in front of me to take the picture below.

You can see the ledge I am standing on and the valley floor is probably 1000 feet below.
Take a look at the photo collection from today.
In the close up of me you might notice a bruise just starting to appear on my cheek. In the first attempt at the photo of Sue and I in the dry river bed I slipped while running to beat the ten second delay on the camera timer and did a complete face plant.
Also in the collection you will see a road that ends in the middle of nowhere. This is a brand new road, beautifully made and not in our guide book, which made for a confusing start to the day. It literally just ended after passing the turn off for a small settlement.
