It was very tempting just to leave a little bit of desert in our back yard but every time the wind blew we ended up with a little bit of desert in the house. It had to go.

One man with a shovel spend a whole day leveling the sand. Then another day with a wheel barrow bringing the gravel from the garage at the front of the house. Finally, two more turned up to help with the irrigation system and planting.

The water drips for 20 minutes, three times a day and hopefully that will enable us to gaze out on some greenery.
