Saturday saw us on the road and reversing the journey made with my Mam and Dad back in November. We crossed the border and Jebel Haffit in Al Ain and headed towards Nizwa taking a detour to visit the Beehive Tombs.

Professional curiosity got the better of Jonathan who had to take a closer look inside the tomb.


This time instead of retracing our steps to the main road we continued into the mountains and followed a 4WD track to link to the road to Jebel Shams. Since we expected the 4WD section to be particularly steep with the road dropping away to nothing it was easier to get Sue to drive.
