Al Hoota Caves are one of the largest limestone systems in the world. Today there is an excellent visitors centre and even a train to take you to the cave entrance.

No photography inside the cave so go to the Al Hoota Caves website to take a look inside.

Next stop was Nizwa. Last time we visited it was market day. Today it felt a bit like a ghost town. The fort was almost deserted and we only just managed to get a cup of tea before the cafe closed along with all the shops for prayers and afternoon siesta.

Next stop Muscat.

We had planned three nights in nice looking bed and breakfast. When we emailed to confirm the booking the owner was most apologetic but told us that she had taken another booking and no longer had room for us. Would we mind staying on their launch in Bandar al Rowdar Marina. A total no brainer for us. Yes please.
