Daniel and Lizzy arrived last week and Nigel is taking a weeks leave over Xmas. So today we are off to spend three nights camping in Oman.

First stop was the Beehive Tombs.

This was a bit of a lightening tour as we needed to get just a few kilometres further down the road to Wadi Damm, a place we had driven past but never explored. The guide book described it as the prettiest wadi in Oman.

Unfortunately, we parked in the wrong place and so none of the instructions made sense as we wondered up the wrong arm of the wadi finding a few stagnant pools instead of the crystal clear swimming holes that we had read about. By the time we found the correct parking area it was time to find a camping spot for the night.

The new rooftop tent was a great success. Our camping gets a little more luxurious every trip.
