Thursday was an official holiday for the Prophet’s birthday. So at 9.30 we left in a convoy with Paul & Wendy, Fathaya and Lolee.

After roughly fours of driving and a particularly speedy border crossing (thanks to Fathaya) we were off road in the spectacular Wadi Bani Awf.

Two nights camping in a deserted shepherds shelter with a day of extremely hard walking was hardly a relaxing break but we loved it.
