We felt that we needed to complete the circuit here by doing the walk that was described in the 4wd guide book that got us here in the first place.

We also found time for a bit of exploring around our camp site and in the village.

Following the gully up from our campsite led us first of all to a graveyard and then to a deserted settlement with lots of abandoned terraces.

The next day we followed the track back to the village and took the ‘official’ path up the wadi. But not before detouring into the palm plantation with its crumbling old towers.
