Everybody seems to rave about Melbourne and after just a few hours of exploring I am beginning to see why. A fabulous mix of old and new. Street cafes and relaxing parks. A vibrant waterfront and lots of street performers.

We are staying in a very fancy hotel – Intercontinental Melbourne The Rialto. The doorman’s uniform included a bowler hat. All very impressive but I am refusing to pay their $30 a day Internet charges so this won’t get posted until I get back to the airport.
