After a visit to the Burravoe museum and a catch-up with Alma Lewis, another friend from 30 years ago, our next stop was Unst -the most northerly of the Shetland Isles.

Our camp site was an extension of a camping hostel at Uyeasound. Right on the water front but shrouded in mist for most of our stay.

The famous Unst Bus Stop. The theme changes regularly but you are guaranteed a comfortable seat and some entertainment. The bus stop even has its own web site – www.unstbusshelter.shetland.co.uk

Eric the Red obviously felt quite at home on the replica Viking longboat at Haraldswick.
