The forecast was for rain today so rather than heading for the mountains we opted for another day in the city. With a vague route plan to revisit some of the sites we had already seen we came across wonderful parks and piazza before returning to Teatro alla Scala, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and the Duomo.

This time the queues were much shorter so we climbed the stairs to the roof of the cathedral. Amazing detail to the stonework all over the building, even areas hidden away on the roof.

Leftover pizza from yesterday becomes today’s lunch. No expense spared on this trip.
