Daniel’s friend Chris, who joined for Xmas two years ago, is currently with the Australian navy. His tour of duty has given him a stopover in Dubai where he has been joined by his girlfriend, Jess. This has given us an excuse to book into the Grand Hyatt Hotel and enjoy dinner with them at the Dubai Creek Yacht Club.

We were able to photograph a stunning sunset over the Dubai skyline from our hotel window.
