A visit from Ozzie & Den and their daughter Lizzy, gave us a good reason to visit the recently completed Wahat Al Karama or Oasis of Dignity, a memorial site for soldiers who have given their lives serving the UAE. The site provides a fabulous view of the Grand Mosque reflected in a shallow pool – spectacular at sunset.

Nigel could not resist a return visit a few days later when a little cloud cover promised to yield a more interesting sky and some ‘artsy’ images.
