Eid-al-Adhar, the Feast of Sacrifice, gave us a four day weekend in which we made the 6 hour drive to Jebel Akhdar, Oman. At 2,600 metres we enjoyed bearable daytime temperatures (28℃) and relaxing moonlit evenings around the campfire.

It’s not Glen Coe, but for us it is a fantastic escape from the heat of the city and an oasis of peace and tranquility. Just two nights away feels like a real break.
