






The ‘Beware of Crocodiles’ sign was no joke but hippos were a more obvious danger. They grazed the grass as night and we were warned never to get between a hippo and the water.




The river cruise took us incredibly close to hippos, elephants (a huge herd of over 70), crocodiles and all manner of bird life. The finale was a short walk to view the spectacular Murchison Falls where the Victoria Nile is squeezed into a seven metre gap and then falls 43 m.
