
This time we headed in the opposite direction – downstream to the delta on Lake Albert. Swathes of papyrus reeds, incredible bird life, local fishermen and the ubiquitous hippopotami.

























We were completely captivated by the little weaver birds. The males weave the hanging nests and then hope that their building skills will attract one of the females that come to inspect the nests. If their prospective love nest does not meet the standard they simply start over again and build a new one.





Evening at leisure said the itinerary. We swam in the pool rather than the river. Obviously Nigel and Jonathan had worked hard in the morning.
