We are getting very excited as we count down to leaving Abu Dhabi and returning to New Zealand.

The first milestone was ticked off today as Nigel completed his last day at the Ministry of Education and ended nearly 10 years of employment with the Abu Dhabi/UAE government; firstly with the Abu Dhabi Education Council, then the rebranded Abu Dhabi Department of Education & Knowledge and finally his secondment to the Ministry of Education.

There are a few more significant events to enjoy before we leave.

We will pack up our possessions and leave the villa at the end of March, Sue will finish teaching her summer semester university classes and, covid permitting, we will visit friends and family in England. Eventually, we expect to be back in New Zealand by September 2021 – over 12 years since we left!
