We spent our last night in New Zealand on the boat on the mooring in Taurikura. That meant we had a simple trip across the harbour this morning for our check out with NZ Customs from Marsden Cove Marina.
It was all simple and painless and after filling water tanks and pausing for lunch we managed a 1pm departure.
This is being written somewhere off the Northland coast in 25 knot winds that have gusted to well over 30 knots at times. Sloppy seas are making a slightly bumpy ride but we are making a respectable 8-9knots.
It’s starting to get dark and the first night promises to be ‘interesting’
