The tent is back on the roof of the car and likely to stay there for the next four or five months.

This weekend saw us camping at our favourite spot in Wadi Damm and exploring even further along the wadi than we had been previously.

A late afternoon exploratory hike suggested that the next day we could descend into the wadi through a newly discovered track. The reality was that the goats could manage it but we couldn’t. We settled for another walk along the rim of the wadi and much needed swim in a delightful little swimming hole. The swim was rapidly curtailed when we discovered that we were sharing the pool with a snake!
