Friday 15 January and we are once again camping in Oman. The last time was Xmas 2014.

This time we found a likely looking spot on Google Earth and headed down the road less travelled to the base of the towering Jebel Misht.

We were not disappointed. The place was totally secluded and had some beautiful wadis to explore – we will certainly be back.

We no longer bring the charcoal bbq and never use the gas stove. All cooking is done on an open wood fire. We always bring firewood and nearly always seem to take home more than we brought. Perhaps we will have a big bonfire in Abu Dhabi when we eventually leave.
