We had planned at least one more trip to our favourite camping site and another excursion to the Jebel Ahkdar plateau for our wedding anniversary in April but it is not going to happen. Nigel faces a two-week home quarantine period if he leaves the country and New York University is issuing very strong advisories warning against travel. Just in case we were still tempted, Oman has now stopped issuing tourist visas. So the tent is off the car roof and the camping season has officially ended.
We had only managed three trips. One in December, one in January and the final one in February when the Mitchell family joined us again.
Just a few photographs to remind us of what we are missing…

Hi Nigel& Sue. I remember our visit to the desert 🐪 great experience & visit to remember. Well this coronavirus is ‘ghastly’ to say the least. NZ has toughest travel restrictions … meant to be going to Sydney April & then Canada/Alaska June ?????Tanya rang last night ….she is in quite a state , what with year long plans ….and travel, insurance etc changing almost daily ! But trying to be positive so far & keep on at present seems all we can do … we are healthy , most important.Thinking of you both Kayxx

Hi Kay
The end of the camping is no big deal when compared with Tanya’s situation. Like you we have plans for June – Namibia, Botswana, Zambia – all looks very doubtful.
